After the war between humans and robots, the robots won and took control of the world. They built a huge dome around a big part of the Earth that blocks the sun, as machines do not need warmth. Because of this, the planet is cold and dark. Wildlife has almost disappeared and only a few trees remain, making human survival very difficult. The robots need large amounts of water to keep their machines working, so they control most of the water resources. For this reason, humans are forced to steal the water used by robots  to survive. Most animals and plants became extinct, causing a serious scarcity of food. Cities are destroyed and abandoned, and many people died during the near. The few humans who are still alive live hidden and weak, in constant fear.
